I am back on Facebook on 2021-07-27 after a forced hiatus for 7 days

I am back on MukhBoi, the social platform at 8.00 pm on 2021-07-27 after a forced hiatus for 7 days since Tuesday, 2021-07-20 evening.

It's fine with certain organizations even when 'deshdrohi khachchars' foul mouth the best ever PM of India using utterly  unparliamentary terms. However, it's against the community standards of such organizations when such 'deshdrohis' (enemies within) are exposed, reprimanded and reported by responsible right thinking netizens!

Fact checkers from BD and PK are engaged by the popular social media platforms to decide on what's good/ right and bad/ wrong for India. They do all that to maintain 'community standards'.

These nonsense won't continue forever. The government will land the cane on them soon. The organizations strongly believe that lutyens media will bail them out once they start playing the victims card.

New Year memorablias from Castrol between 1985 and 1992

Every December and January were the months to look forward to between 1985 and 1992 during my golden years in Indrol Lubricants and Specialities Ltd, which again was rechristened to Castrol India Ltd during the penultimate years of my stint with the company.
My stint in Castrol India was from 1985-08-12 to 1992-01-22.

It used to rain truly innovative New Year goodies for institutional buyers, dealers and executives.

I was there in our house in Behala, Kolkata on Tuesday, 2021-07-13 for lunch with Ma. Since I had ample free time, I was rummaging through my old drawers and tables and guess what I found.

I was delighted to find a few of those memorablias almost intact even after 29 years. Photos of more such giveaways 🎁✨will be brought to you'll once I find them.

My body weight on 2021-07-12 was 75 kgs

My body weight as on Monday, 2021-07-12 at 12.45 pm was 75 kgs.
My weight has hovered between 75 and 78 kgs ever since the early 1990s.
I am a shade lesser than 5' 11".
That's for the records and an honest submission.

I had an aluminum box for carrying books to school in late 1960s

If you were born in the 1960s and upto mid 1970s, you can relate to the attached photos which I could do from my own school days in a premium centre of learning, viz. St. Patrick's H S School in Asansol, West Bengal.

I still have some memories of the day (unfortunately, can't remember the month or year) when Baba bought me this shining aluminum box for me to carry my school books, exercise copies, pencil box and my tiffin box. It was after the old brown coloured leather bound cardboard suitcase burst one day while returning from school from Asansol to Barakar in a public bus named Waheguru which used to be driven by a very caring sardarji uncle on the Durgapur to Chittaranjan via Batakar route. The sardarji driver uncle had firmly tied the suitcase with a cord to prevent the contents from spilling over. Presumably it was sometimes in late 1960s. The travelling cobbler tried to mend it twice or thrice within a span of 1 - 2 month sitting under the eucalyptus tree of our sprawling house in Barakar. The old suitcase refused to survive the weight of my school books. I used the aluminum box for 2 - 3 years before it was passed on to my brother who joined the same school.

On Tuesday 2021-07-13, I went to meet Ma at Behala almost after 3 months. Since I was quite free, I was rummaging through old stuff in the house and was surprised to find how carefully Ma has preserved the box to store her sewing items. I couldn't spot a single dent in the box and it opened and closed as if it was brand new.
The box should be at least 50 years old, but  it brought back so many childhood memories.

How much I wish I could go back to those lovely days.

Monsoon Drive to Azad Hind Dhaba (BPCL Ghar Dhaba), NH16, Uluberia, West Bengal on 2018-07-04

Monsoon Drive to Azad Hind Dhaba (BPCL Ghar Dhaba), NH16, Uluberia, West Bengal on 2018-07-04.
____________________________

The strong desire for a monsoon drive and some good food to compliment the pleasure of driving materialized most unexpectedly when a client called me up and requested me to complete an unfinished assignment enroute Kolkata_Kharagpur (Kolkata to Kharagpur).

What followed was an impromptu drive under overcast sky to AzadHindDhaba, Uluberia (exactly 48 kms from home near Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata) for lunch with wife and daughter on Wednesday, 2018-07-04 late afternoon.

Visited Ma for lunch at Behala on 2021-07-13

Ever since end March 2021, Corona had started showing its ugly side with renewed vigour. Although I got fully vaccinated 18th May, it was dangerous to go and meet Ma who at 80+ got her 1st dose of Covishield only on 2021-07-04.

I was getting restless to meet her. Moreover, there were important postal mails to be collected from home in Behala and some long pending Post Office related work in Behala, 18 kms south of my second place of stay in Kolkata.

On Tuesday 2021-07-13, I called up Ma at 9.30 am to tell her that I will be there with her for lunch by 11 am after a gap of about 3+ long months.

Her extreme love for cooking and ability to churn out delicacies impromptu was evident once again.
Even while casually chatting with me, she was possibly thinking of what else to prepare with simple ingredients which were already there at home.
The final outputs were simply WOW 😍. They were lip smacking. They were finger licking good.

There was:
rice,
daal,
stuffed bhindi,
fish curry,
lyangra mangoe,
rasogolla,
one variant of salted instantly baked cookie,
two variants of instantly baked  sweet cookies,
impromptu 'khaaja' (because it was Ratha Yatra on 12th July),
thick and creamy chicken liver soup,
utthapam,
sweet and sour chutney,
mango jelly 😋

The day was well spent. Returned to my abode, a fully contended man at 8.15 pm.

Note: Suruchi Bhawan, my abode at Jayasree Park, Behala was constructed by my Dadu in 1370 (Bengali Year). For the uninitiated, it's 1428 (as per Bangla Almanac) from mid April 2021.
