A wholesome get together (GTG) of St. Patrick's School Asansol alumni batchmates at Cafe Coffee Day, CF344, Salt Lake, Kolkata was hastily organized on Monday 2024-11-18 from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The 4 hours was too short.
We laughed our guts out recollecting memories from school days.
There was lots of yummy chicken and bread and multiple rounds of hazelnut coffee 😋.
Thank you Sujoy Guha (MD cum CEO, Criticalog Ltd, Bangalore) for floating the idea of the impromptu GTG of absolutely like minded buddies who studied and hung around together in Section B and C upto ICSE and same section in ISC.
Our bonding dates back to 55+ years.
The other 'shaukeens' present were Avijit Roy (retired marketing honcho in National Fertilizers Ltd), Arindam Banerjee (retired power generation gurudev in NTPC Ltd), Bibhas Biswas (retired materials management boss in Coal India Ltd) and yours truly, Deep Banerjee.
Incidentally, Avijit (Bablu) and I have been friends from the time we were about 4 years old (in mid-1960), from our days in Montessori School in Kulti 😊.
Sandip Samanta was dearly missed.
Btw, all of my childhood buddies are diehard followers of Indian Roadie, too.
