27 yrs of Mio Amore, IA265

Our favorite Indian Roadie 'adda' joint, viz. the Mio Amore shop at IA265, Salt Lake, Kolkata completed 27 years of it's existence on Tuesday, 2023-01-17.
It was a coincidence that I happened to visit them in the evening to buy my own birthday cake. They treated me to a lovely chocolate pastry.
Happy birthday and congratulations to Mio Amore, IA265 🎉🎊

Happy birthday to me 2023-01-18 + Announcing the launch of 'PAIR - Mutual Trust'

Happy birthday to me 🎂.

For the uninitiated, I (Deep Banerjee) am the Founder of IndianRoadie, AssociatedForumsOfIndianRoadie, MarketingPundit, etc, etc.

With the presence of so many wonderful friends and acquaintances around me, I take this opportunity to announce the launch of a new pathbreaking pan-India initiative, nomenclatured 'PAIR - Mutual Trust'.

The initiative will immensely benefit all Indian Roadie followers who come forward to support my other acclaimed initiative of 2022, viz. Indian Roadie eGranth.
I need to survive for Indian Roadie (and associated forums) to survive.

'PAIR - Mutual Trust' will also enable brands to project themselves as 'socially responsible' and in the process reach out to every nook and corner of India.

P.S: Please await more details about PAIR - Mutual Trust in days to come.

Picnic at Ghatakpukur with Nikhilesh Roy and Madurdaha residents 2023-01-08

We 3 (viz. daughter, wife and yours truly) drove to a traditional Bengali picnic (choruibhati) on Sunday 2023-01-08 early morning after being invited to join by fellow Indian Roadie Nikhilesh Roy. The picnic was organized by Mahatirtham Citizens Welfare Society who are residents of Madurdaha of East Kolkata Township.
The venue was a sprawling 'baganbari' (farmhouse) with tall trees, two huge ponds and an open air ground with trees all around, about 3 kms on the right, off the Ghatakpukur crossing on Science City - Malancha State Highway. The distance was about 35 kms from the Ruby Hospital crossing.
Most items in the menu were carried raw to the spot, cut, marinated and cooked at the venue itself. The accompanying photos will reveal some of the lip smacking food items which was there for all attendees.
We were back home around 7.30 pm after a day well spent with lots of yummy food and wholesome 'adda' (chatting) session.

The last such picnic attended by me was along with my parents at Randiha on the banks of Damodar River, near Panagarh almost 35 years ago. For my daughter, it was a new experience altogether.

Thank you, Sukanta Das for being the driving force behind this well managed open air picnic.

It was a perfect Indian Roadie Drive For Food/ Indian Roadie Travel For Food.
